MOUSE MANIA I decided to customize my computer mouse, which is exactly the same model as my brother Bobs. We often work in the same area, the kitchen table, so it made sense to have my mouse stand out. I painted it with my Acrylic markers and made it QUITE noticeable. Thought I had it just right. I tried to use it (hadnt used this one in quite a while because my puter broke down more than a year ago. Didnt realize that it was busted. All that work on the thing and the thing doesnt even work. Uggghhh! So now I decide to get another one. I decide to go to the nearest Best Buy to get a new one0. Its got to be just right because now Im gonna go and really paint this one up. Why cant I just be a normal human? Joe The salesman says its not tampered with and I believed him. I get home, start to watch a movie, but am also unpacking the mouse, which is not supposed to have been opened up. I love putting gadgets together and work on this one until I go over the instructions which say to run the disk on the puter. What Disk??? I look all over the place and cant find a disk. It was missing.Thoughts come to me like SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE. SHOP AS FAR AWAY FROM THE CITY AS POSSIBLE Ill spare you the details, but I have this theory which has yet to fail. Two stores identical in appearance will differ based on how far away from the hood they are. That is to say, everything else being in common, the store closest to the inner city is always worst in every area across the board. I think it has to do with an inner city mindset that just wants to get a paycheck without all the desire to fulfill the service standards of a job. The biggest indicator of which store is guaranteed to have lousy CS is the condition of the parking lot. A messy lot tells you something. I know this sounds ridiculous —ridiculous until you start to see this in operation. It works like clockwork, ay least out here in Shy town. The only exception is the restaurant industry. The best restaurants are in the heart of the downtown area around River North. I suspect its because up the upscale beat of the restaurants (and also the work for your tips reality). Chicago, Im sure is not the only town like this. Worse of all is the idea that I dare not paint my mouse until Im sure Im going to keep it.
