MSS & MY LIFE.... Consequently, when we came on board as the new excos of Akwanga Area Council, the task b4 us was how to bring all the patrons & students into closer union & inculcate in them the true teachings of Islam. Before I forget, I was appointed the Financial Secretary & the task b4 me was to bring out a plan on how the Area Council will stand firm on its feet financially. Alhamdulillah, our task was simplify because 90% of the EXCOS are patrons of Secondary Schools. That is solely the wisdom of Ustaz Harun bcos he knew he cannot succeed without patrons of schs. We started initiating different kinds of educative programs like Quiz & Essay Competitions, Leadership Training Programs 4 EXCOS of Secondary Schools, Islamic Vacation Dawah(IVD) & others too numerous to mention. Infact, when I brought the issue of reviving terminal dues collection in Schools, almost all the patrons supported the idea. It is pertinent to note that the administration of Aminu Musa, State Amir ended by 2009. Then, the convention held @Toto Area Council brot Musa Yunusa Oshafu as the new State Amir. One year later, after our formal inauguration, we were given the Hosting Right of State Conference, that is precisely 2011. The Conference was meant to reunite Mss brothers & sisters across the State. The 3-Day Conference took place @World Islamic College Akwanga. It was indeed a colourful program. Infact, during one of the meetings, vital issues were vividly discussed by Excos & prominent stakeholders like Dr. Fodio I. Musa, Idris Ladan, Dr. Adamu Ibrahim, just to mention but a few. The closing ceremony took place @College of Education Akwanga where the Guest Speaker, Mal Adamu Ibrahim delivered a paper that made somany people to cry. It was that same year that the then State Amir, Musa Yunusa Oshafu nominated me, Amir Wamba & Amir Toto(Adamu Yusuf Ozereba) to lead Nas. State delegation to the National IVC @Katsina. It was simply because the Zone brot the idea of State IVC & ALL Amirs of Area Units were instructed to stay back & ensure its coordination. When he informed me that Ill be part of the delegation, I asked; why me? Despite my inexperience? He said go. Allah is your guide. Though I became jittery but my friend, Amir Toto keep giving me courage. He said MAAJIN KUDI, U CAN DO IT. It was indeed a fruitful experience Ill never forget in my life. I recalled meeting with the Sultan for the first time. I recalled meeting with Shehu Shema for the first time. I recalled meeting with Prof. Naiya Sada for the first time. I recalled how Amir Yusuf Saeed, the then NHICOMS Cordinator of the Zone was busy coordinating the delegates seated in the hall b4 the formal commencement of the program. It was fun all through.
