A person needs to genuinely intend not to sin, then if they fall down, they need to repent and get back up and intend to cut off sin. Gods power inside of the believer is their strength and keeps them from sinning, by a persons own strength without God they will fail. Sin is separation from God. A person needs to be reading the Word of God everyday and to be praying in fellowship with God everyday. Remember sin is separation from God. So a person cannot both not be having fellowship with God and not be living in sin.
