Madisons Teacher gave her a school assignment. She was to locate a Veteran and interview him or her about their service to our Country. Today she went and sat down with Mr. Clyde Rainwater. The more he talked the more she wanted to know. Not only did he serve in one war he served in 3. He enlisted at the age of 16, and served in WW2, The Korean War, & Vietnam. He is 82 years old and he and his wife have been married 61 years! He showed her photos and letters he wrote to his family while in the service. I think I enjoyed the hour we were there more than her. So many stories!! Thank you Mr. Rainwater for all the years you fought for our freedom!
