Maintaining khushoo’ in prayer is a constant struggle for many - TopicsExpress

Maintaining khushoo’ in prayer is a constant struggle for many (if not most) of us. If you are having trouble focusing your mind and heart in your daily prayers, ask yourself these questions: 1. Do I understand what I’m saying – the meaning of the surahs, the different statements and the praises of Allah? 2. Am I giving myself enough time before the prayer (especially during wudu) to think about the importance and gravity of this meeting with Allah (swt)? 3. Am I giving myself enough time after the prayer to contemplate the meanings of what I just recited, and how it should affect the way I live? 4.Do I care about what I’m asking Allah (swt) to grant me, or have I have just been repeating the same Duas I learned as a 10 year old kid? The prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Ask Allah with certainty of Him answering your Dua, and know that Allah does not accept the Dua from a heedless distracted heart.” Give yourself enough time to understand, contemplate and appreciate the purpose of your prayers and Duas at Visionaire Online 2015.
