Make A Joyful Noise Tuesday August 19, 2014: Todays MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE comes from the following Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 New Living Translation (NLT) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Paul is speaking to the church in Corinth, a church that is still struggling with a situation it had already handled. In other words beating itself up over what had happened in the past. Sound Familiar? We continue to do the same thing, struggling with the weight of past decisions, or worrying about what the future may bring! Paul says that the good and bad will come, but God is with us through it all. Steven Curtis Chapman shares similar thoughts in his latest release, Glorious Unfolding! He presents the song as if God speaking to us in whispers to our hearts! Lay your head down tonight Take a rest from the fight Dont try to figure it out Just listen to what Im whispering to your heart ‘Cause I know this is not Anything like you thought The story of your life was gonna be And it feels like the end has started closing in on you But its just not true Theres so much of the story thats still yet to unfold Such a Glorious Unfolding, knowing that God is always with us, no matter what happens! We dont need to beat ourselves up about the past, He has already forgiven us! Worry about the future? He will be with us always! We only need to focus on today and see Gods path as a story yet to unfold!
