Make No Mistake About It: The Tiger Booster Club Sold YOU Down The River for THEIR OWN BENEFIT Fact: the Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club Inc. (MTFBC) Dominates the Massillon Board of Education. Ron Pribich, Gary Miller, and Mary Strukel are all MTFBC Inc Stalwarts. Mary Strukel was elected to the BOE by the MTFBC Inc, who used her sponsorship and hard work to gain approval of a special OBIE license plate, a portion of which sales go to who? The MTFBC Inc. of course. None of the revenue raised goes to the Tiger Swing Band: they have to fend for themselves. None of it goes to the Choir. None of it goes to the Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, or any other school activity: It is all for the one thing: the football team. Everybody else has to fend for themselves, and the people of the City know. football first.. everything else, second class citizens. And, as it turns out ALL of the second class citizens were sold down the Tuscarawas River by the MTFBC, when the Board of Education tried to foist a horrible plan to build a K-8 Megaschool in the Vicinity of Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. This plan would have imposed the maximum transportation costs POSSIBLE on the City of Massillon. It would have created the situation where over 50% of all students attending Massillon City Schools on any given day would have to stand in the rain, snow or blazing sun, unprotected, at bus pickup points with NO shelter. from the very first day of Kindergarden, and every school day. for the ENTIRE 13 years they attended Massillon City Schools. That is : all but a select geographic section of town: that section covered by the circle in this image to the east marked WHS: Students in THAT one section: will NEVER require bussing: that is the One Mile radius Walk to school zone where the MCSD will not provide bussing. In all areas NOT covered by the two circles, those children will require bussing to either K-8 East or K-8 West AND 9-Graduation, to WHS. Now, WHY would anybody in their right mind want to buy a house in those areas not included in one of the circles? And WHY would anyone in their right minds DESIGN such a scheme? The voters of the City saw the insanity of it, and voted down the proposal in a massive vote against: Condemning two entire heavily residential areas of town to be bussed for the entire 13 years, was insane, and the voters figured it out.. but WHY would the BOE propose insanity in the first place? The answer: The MTFBC Inc would have profited immensely. The MTFBC owns residential real estate in the area, is the answer. The MTFBC was willing to sell the City out, is the answer. The MTFBC in fact DID sell out the entire City. The 35 odd parcels listed on that document are parcels leveraged by the MTFBC Inc for $475,000 Seen in yellow in this image, the balloons are the parcels owned by the MTFBC Inc. at the current time, these parcels are valued for tax reasons at only $400 EACH. Here they are, to show the proximity to PBTS. The new K-8 would have been built the East parking lot and soccer field seen in the image. But not after this new K-8 is built! At that point in time these will become the most desirable parcels in the City. A realtor will be able to proudly say: Did you see the beautiful K-Graduation campus nearby? Why, you will have the comfort of knowing that none of your children will ever be bussed to school! NEVER. Never will they have to stand out in the cold or rain. Never will they be on a bus that has an accident and is delayed coming home, nor a breakdown. NEVER will you be inconvenienced, nor your child have to ride a bus for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes after school! You will be the ELITES in THIS town. and indeed it will be true. Walking access from K-G and to all functions and all football games! You will be able to stroll to it. And those parcels acquired as abandoned, slummy, run down, shacks.. will be turned to GOLD. the value of having a 10 minute walk access to the K-Graduation Campus, will be similar in value to that of golf course views. We cannot know how much the parcels will sell for, but we DO know that the MTFBC Inc was able to Mortgage the parcels for $475,000 and so that would be the least they would sell them for one would think, but probably more like about double that, after a K-8 is built there. And when the MTFBC sells them to their preferred customers... guess who KEEPS it all? THE MTFBC INC. (even though all the people with children riding busses for an hour a day every day. will pay just as high a property tax rate as they do in PBTS East Campus Land. ) And NOW you know why the Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club Incorporated dominated Massillon Board of Education signed on to this non plan The Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club Motto: Whats Good for the Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club, Inc. is Good for the City of Massillon!
