Male Stable after being Stabbed at University Park Worcester, MA (May 1, 2014) - On Thursday, May 1, 2014 at approximately 3:15 PM, Worcester Police responded to 90 Illinois Street, the location of University Park for a report of a fight. Several officers arrived at the scene and were notified that there was a male stabbing victim by the basketball court. Officers went to the court and observed an 18-year-old male suffering from a stab wound. The victim was conscious and alert. He was transported to U-Mass Hospital (university campus). His is injury is not considered life threatening. Members of the Worcester Police Investigate units arrived at the scene. The area was processed for evidence while police interviewed witnesses. A motive has yet to be established.
