Mamas stroke has left her with immense motor and speech impairment. While doing her speech therapy exercises, I decided to throw in a question to test her cognitive skills. Me: Ma, am I beautiful? Mama: Yes, of course. (wilst struggling to speak) I couldnt help but grin happily. So I gave her a hug and snuggled to her closely. However, soon enough she had something to say despite her struggle to speak. Mama: But Im more beautiful than you. ( and started laughing heartily) And just like that, my mom quickly burst my bubble just as she gave me a compliment. There goes my self-esteem. Hahaha... Her speech and motor skills may be greatly impaired. But her wit, sense of humor, and mocking skills are definitely up and running! Happy Mothers Day my dear Mama Caridad D. Lugay-Ouano :) you may be fragile and weak, but you never cease to be a wonderful burst of sunshine. I love you Mader Dak! I will always be your lifetime baby girl.
