Manx Gas...... You are terrible Been an island resident for 10 years when I first came to island took out account with manx gas paid £250 deposit because they were worried I would do a runner leaving an outstanding bill.... I understand that to a certain extent. Had oil for past few years so I go back in to manx gas today to start an account up for new flat. They want another £250 deposit because they cant find my name on their computers. 10 years in secure job, happy to pay by direct debit..... They refused to connect me without another £250 deposit. Staff were clueless. Why is it that all these big manx companies get away with murder then when they get in trouble the government bail them out. At least with MEA you get a choice to pay by key card rather than give them a deposit. If I had a choice manx gas I wouldnt be with you at all. Corporate blackmail...... Thats all.
