Many of our marriages fail because we fail to put the proper work into it. Look at it like this..... Your marriage starts off as a small tree that you want to grow and produce fruit. First you must toil the ground(get yourself together/self-check). Then you must plant the seeds and pray over them that God will give increase! A lot of times we skip forward and just pray but faith without works is dead. We must plant actual seeds of works in our marriages(good deeds in a right attitude of love toward our spouse) then pray over those seeds that God would send those to water them that in HIS time HE will give increase and we will reap the harvest! When things seem to be going crazy we can repeat this reap and sow process..... 1. Prepare the ground (check your attitude/bring it into subjection) 2. Plant the seed (physically do things for the good of your union) 3. Pray (that God send those to water as you wait on HIS increase). Stick to Gods process and let him do what you cant!
