Many people speak, but few people act. Many people have courage in the beginning, but few persevere til the end.I tell you, those few will be saved, but not those who abandon their faith, due to their own desires and the tempting of the world. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. Same is to you, if you speak and then not act, what makes you greater than the world, or rather different? And if you believe and keep your faith in the beginning, but then abandon it later, what good is that? What benefit is it to you if you keep something, only to throw it out later? For truly I tell you, many will believe in the beginning but then fall away later, forgetting the truth to which to they have been called to; abandoning their faith.I tell you, no one who abandons their faith, to go and follow their own selfish desires, and the desires of the world, will enter the kingdom of heaven, for they are not servants of the Lord, but slaves to their own desires.No, only those who do the will of the Father will enter to the kingdom of heaven, and receive eternal life. For many are good in their speech, but few are great in their acts.
