Many years ago, On a day like this, Barka da sallah was morethan a seasonal greeting It was our greeting as well. Many years ago, On a day like this, When we all gather at the streets with our parents just to watch the Emir and his entourage pass on their horses so that we can scream and cheer. Many years ago, On a day like this, Sallah celebration wasnt only for our muslim friends It was ours as well. Many years ago, On a day like this, Our kitchen would have been overflowing with all sorts of food and delicacies like Shinkafa, Miyan dage dage, Tuwon shinkafa, Miyan kuka, Sakwara, kuskus etc Snacks like Algaragis, Dambun Nama, Alkaki etc Many years ago, On a day like this, We all stay glued to NTA just to watch Indian films, Islam films and watch request shows to see our friends request. Many years ago, On a day like this, We all go to Emirs palace to make new friends, ride bicycle, look for trouble, play bangers. But today, Those sweet days are just mere memories.. I wish i could close my eyes and when ill open them, those days will be back for good. HOW I WISH...
