March 21, 2014 Jorge Artalejo 1011 E Yandell, 10 El Paso, TX 79902 Commissioner Lewis County Court House County of El Paso El Paso, TX 79901 Here is another of these county issues fundamental to the successfully regulation of the machinery of the government that requires the full participation of the elected to the body politic of this government, an issued generated in the recent contest for the position occupied by the leadership you have previously demonstrated on previous occasions where you have been called to provide this leadership, as in your leadership of the board of the independent school district of the city. I refer to the article printed in the newspaper for the city complaining of the lack of this leadership of an issue that ought not to have progress to the point it has, where the manager of a division is called to provide the leadership required of those elected to this governing body, Commissioners Court. In this fast changing economic environment that the city has become, for the county to drag itself through the process of providing to an entity responsible for this improvement in the quality of life for all here in this otherwise decayed community is a slap in the face of the 21% who failed to rally to the opportunity to endorse outright your position on the issues confronting the community. It one would suppose being critically important to the outright victory given to the position held by the County Judge, Veronica Escobar, a position I clearly held throughout the campaign where I was a participant. This then is that support required by you for your victory, contingent on the relief provide to this vital stakeholder of this otherwise improvised community that El Paso had become and could become if those positions held by the elected are retained in their intransigency, otherwise it is only obvious to all observers of the fault attributed to the community for their failure to take this opportunity to change their condition in Precinct 2, in spite of the fact the holder of this office enjoys the tacit support of the majority party of the county, aged as it were in its views.
