March Roundup: A record was established for the number of finishers in the monthly handicap with Matt Walsh, Andy Fairbairn, Karl Glover, Jenny Clark, Phil Hayes, Lesley Gray, Sarah Scott, Andy Whitlam, Josie Walsh, Bobbie-Ann Marshall, Jo Lickiss, Christine Burgess, Jackie Routledge, Penny Donleavy, Alison Butterworth, Jeanette Ball and Joanne Anderson all recording personal best times for the 3.5 mile. 14 runners represented TCRC at the Stanley Park 10k in ideal conditions. Matt Walsh led the charge with an impressive 36.35 followed by Andy Fairbairn with yet another PB 37.44, James Hankinson on his recovery from injury 41.55. Jenny Clark also with a PB 44.01, John Hickman 44.43,Stephen Browne 45.58, Caroline McLaughlan 46.46, Gillian Pryor 49.29, Colin Denney 49.37, Paul Evans 49.54, Sarah Scott 55.12, David Jones 55.20, Janine McNeill 63.09 and Janine Denney 63.09. In the last race in the Mid Lancs cross country league at Kendal Andy Fairbairn in his second race of the day ran well to finish in 37.03 followed by Martin Boswell 38.20. TCRC ladies finished a team once again with Julie Sherwood 29.36, Lisa Young 38.12 and making her cross country debut Sharon Randall 40.09. Terry Poole visited Wales once again to take part in the Anglesey (The Island race) half marathon starting on the Menai Bridge. Terry finished the undulating course in 1.44.06
