Marine Solomonishvili, President of International Foundation LEA, expert EaP CSF sub group of culture participated the Fourth Platform of the Eastern Partnership Ministerial on Culture. On June 27-28, 2013 in Tbilisi at “Radisson Blue Iveria” was launched the Fourth Platform of the Eastern Partnership Ministerial on Culture (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine), organized by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and European Commission , and in this regard, Mrs. Androulla Vassiliu, the EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, was her first visit to the Eastern Partnership Region. The conference officially opened up by the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Guram Odisharia and the EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Androulla Vassiliu. A sessions was held within the framework of the ministerial: • Culture as a vector of the political reforms and social development; • Culture as a vector of the economical growth and the working places; • Instruments of the European Union and the international cooperation – future prospects. On 28 June at the end of conference the Ministers and Heads of Delegations singed "Tbilisi Declaration" . After end of Conference was a meeting with the representatives of media with participation Mr. Guram Odisharia, the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and Androulla Vassiliu, the EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism. This Conference represents the very important stage of the process of outlining the importance of the culture in terms of the Eastern Partnership along with the improvement of the cooperation in that point of view. It will also be very important step for promoting the understanding of the role of culture in the sustainable development of Georgia and for close cooperation with the European Union. It is important, that at the Conference with the official persons also participated the Sub-Group Culture EaP CS F, representatives of different cultural organizations, civil society and media.
