Mark Gatiss has said Peter Capaldi has a different energy to David Tennant and Matt Smith. Speaking to Digital Spy, Gatiss revealed that Peter Capaldis debut will be exciting and disturbing. Peter has a very different energy to Matt Smith and to David Tennant, he said. Hes older which changes everything - its amazing what a change does! Matt was sublime and I was very sorry to see him go, but its also great to have a change - as it has always been with the Doctor. Gatiss added that Capaldis Doctor brings with him a whole new set of rules. The Doctors always the Doctor - but you can have a lot of fun playing with peoples expectations, he continued. Everyone knows how the previous Doctor would react in any given situation - and now you just dont know! Gatiss went on to say that the first episode of Series 8, written by Steven Moffat is thrilling. Doctor Who Series 8 will air later in 2014 on BBC One.
