Mates, Karen Stanley, who worked at the State Attorneys Office in Hillsborough County for 23 years, is running for Circuit Court Judge (Group 20). I had the pleasure of working for her while I was a prosecutor and she was always fair and reasonable to me in every way. She believed in real justice, and her decisions were always based on whether she was doing the right thing, and she made sure that she did do the right thing. I will never forget the first time I met Karen. She was trying the case of Joseph Lee Peck, a very interesting and complicated murder trial. I showed up every day to watch her and it was that experience what inspired me to become a prosecutor. It was her guidance and inspiration what helped me begin to try cases; I never will forget everything that she did for me and for my career. I believe that she will be a great asset to the bench and will treat each attorney that stands before her with respect. I am absolutely supporting Karen and I ask that you give her your support.
