Matt 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. First of all, God is making a way where we look to him with all that we have and all that we are. He is the one who created us and he is the one who wants to have a relationship with us. Satan is his rebellion did not want to worship God and was removed from his presence for that. Adam and Eve spent worshipful time with God and satan tried to stop that worship from taking place. Satan is so rebellious that he wants Gods people to worship Satan rather than God. In Matthew, Satan tries to get Jesus, the son of God to worship him, but its interested to note the Lords response to that. Jesus is showing us how we are to respond to anyone or thing that is trying to take the place of God in the area of worship. Jesus tells Satan to get behind him because Jesus is worshiping God the Father and is not allowing anyone to get in his way. Today, God still wants to be our God, and he still wants us to be his people. God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross making a way for us to come to God the Father through Jesus and having no one come between us and God when it comes time to worship the Lord. Now that we know the truth and the truth has set us free, we dont have to fall under the lies and deceptions of Satan, we dont have to worship false gods and idols, animals or elements, we dont have to bow down to any created thing. The good news is this: through Jesus and what he did, we get to bow down before God and worship him in all his glory with no one or thing getting in our way. Note also that Jesus responds with the word of God concerning Satan trying to get us to do something, rather that have a discussion about it, he just quoted the bible and worship God the Father. In the same we, we dont have discussions with the devil about who to worship, we just bow our knee before God and confess Jesus as Christ and Lord. Call on Jesus today, stop being deceived by the devil, dont give satan another moment of your time, bow down to Jesus and declare him Lord in you life. Worship God the Fathter through Jesus Christ adn live a worshipful life with God. Ask God for forgiveness for the times you worship gods and created things but now you want to worship the one and only God through Jesus his son. Thank yoiu Jesus. Amen.
