Matthew 12:30; Luke 9:49-50, 11:23 The True Test of Fellowship We are fond of deciding whether this group, or that preacher, is saved, right with God, serving acceptably, or some such idea. John and his fellow apostles tried the same thing, when they told an independent to stop casting out demons (Lk. 9:49-50). However, that is not our job. In the first place, I Samuel 16:7, we do not see the heart of others, only the outward actions. Second, if anyone is doing good deeds in the Name of Jesus, we have no right to forbid them, for if the gospel is preached we should rejoice (Philippians 1:18; also read Romans 14:4).
