Matthew here. BBC Radio Jersey has learned there are two formal complaints lodged against the Bishop of Winchester over how hes dealt with the anglican church in Jersey. It follows the publication of details which have emerged this week of the agreement signed between Jerseys church and UK bishops, which gives temporary oversight of the island to the Bishop of Dover. Meanwhile, the woman known as HG whos at the heart of the dispute has written to the Bishop of Winchester asking him to stop harming her. She claims the continued dispute, and the publication of reports and details about her case, have ruined her life. This morning Im asking what should happen next? Is it time for the Church in Jersey to draw a line under this issue - make amends with Winchester - and move on?
