May 11th, 1981................Randy Rhoads and the Ozzy Osbourne band are in Cleveland, Ohio. The band does a 4pm sound check. That evening the show was played at the Music Hall. This was also the night that the 1987 TRIBUTE ALBUM was recorded. At the time the band was doing a King Biscuit Flower Hour Radio show that was recorded live for radio broadcast all over North America , and some shows were also recorded for the upcoming live album Ozzy was under contract to for Jet Records. That record ended up being Speak of the devil due to Randys passing and in 1987 we got the Tribute Album. It is said that when Tribute was recorded all of Ozzys vocals were redone in the studio.
