Maybe 3 inches of snow on the ground this morning. It has warmed to 36ºF so the snow wont last too long, I hope! We kept the wood stove going all day yesterday though it was nearly out a few times. This is the in between season where it is easy to overheat but a little more heat is needed from time to time. Digging up the potatoes yesterday was good timing. Come the end of October here all the outside projects should be complete. We havent seen one for a long time but winter can bring extreme cold and deep snow by the beginning of November. Actually, last November was extremely cold but without snow. In 5 or 6 weeks we burned through about a third of our split and stacked wood. I grew very concerned that Id be splitting more wood in below 0ºF temperatures. Fortunately, the extreme cold ended and we had more than enough to finish the season. This year we have added another cord to the stockpile so we should be good. Im not sure which came first ... whether Im dreading winter more because Im thinking Id rather be elsewhere or Id rather be elsewhere more because Im dreading winter. I dont think it matters much but I do wish I lived elsewhere. I wasnt thinking like an ol fart when I bought the property in my younger years. Climate wise, I know two areas I wished I had bought property in. The one I can see weather forecasts for along with our own their LOW temperature is getting higher and higher over our HIGH. Once in awhile I look, online, at properties there. Values here are low and slow selling and much higher there. Such is life, lol! For exercise, Im going to have to get active on Gayles exercise recumbent bycicle. LOL, somebody needs to be using it! :v :v :v
