Md. Asad Ullah student of IUBAT— International University of Business Agriculture and Technology has been awarded as Outstanding Delegate in the third conference of United Nations Youth and Student Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) a Model United Nations at Rajshahi University on Oct 29-Nov1, 2014 conference. IUBAT participated in UNYSAB MUN for the first time and achieved this prestigious award. Md. Asad Ullah, the only participant brought this award for IUBAT. He got involvement in various volunteer educational activities especially related to environmental from the very beginning of his educational life and also produced a creative documentary Science Behind Tradition of award winning Environmental Fair 2014 inspired by RCE Greater Dhaka youth initiatives. “United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh” (UNYSAB) is a voluntary youth and student movement for United Nations. It is dedicated to convey the voice of young generation regarding current global issues such as MDG, human rights and development, environment, disarmament, social justice etc. It is an excellent environment for development of organizational and leadership skills, intellectual abilities and research orientation. United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) organized the conference with Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA). Honorable State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Muhammed sayedul Hoque was presented as chief guest, Prof Dr Mohammad Mizan Uddin, Vice chancellor of Rajshahi University presented as special guest. 250 students from DU, CU, RU, NSU and other renowned universities took part in the conference. Total thirty two awards were given in different categories and eight delegates from eight committees were awarded as Outstanding Delegate. UNYSAB has organized numerous events to raise social awareness on different issues and through that provided the students of Bangladesh a platform to practice and develop their leadership skills. Besides, teams from UNYSAB have achieved notable success in various Model United Nations (MUN) Conferences organized in different countries namely: China, Switzerland, India, South Korea, Singapore etc. Also UNYSAB jointly organized many events with APYN, UNDP, UNFPA, and UNIC etc. UNYSAB has a high network of students throughout the country which covers a number of universities, colleges and schools.
