Medical Assistant Supervisor Planned Parenthood of New York City Job description We are currently recruiting for a full-time Health Care Associate Supervisor for our Queens health center located at 21-41 45th Road, Long Island City, New York 11101. This is an exempt position reporting to the Center Director. POSITION SUMMARY Provides supervision to Health Care Associates with a concentration on efficiency and quality of patient care. Responsible for complying with all organizational and quality assurance guidelines and all pertinent government regulations, including, but not limited to infection control and OSHA regulations. Supervises Health Care Associates connected with surgical and clinical services to assure the quality of care given to PPNYC patients. Responsible for the training, evaluation and scheduling of all Health Care Associates. Maintains smooth and efficient system of patient flow with demonstrated expertise in efficient and comprehensive use of electronic medical record. Assures the accuracy and completeness of center medical records. Reports statistical information as required to the appropriate departments. Assists with the handling of patient calls related to clinical and surgical services. Assists with the quality control and maintenance of surgical and clinical equipment and supplies. Participates in the management team to support and implement agency goals. Understands and commits to customer oriented approach to health care delivery. QUALIFICATIONS Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent. Requires 3 – 4 years of related and/or applicable experience. Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Ability to multi-task is essential. This is a hands-on position that requires excellent people skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels. Knowledge of the eClinical Works Practice Management System a plus.
