Meet Tucker, Amieedale, and Lily. All three will be treated for heartworms next week. Tucker is the little black faced boy, Amieedale is the grey and white princess, and Lily is the brown and white poodle/tzu mix. All 3 came from desperate circumstances but are thriving in our foster homes, and once they are treated, will be ready for adoption. The last pic is Pancake - isnt she too cute for words? Pancake will be spayed, have a full exam, bloodwork, shots, and dental, also next week. I wont list them all, but we have another three scheduled for the same care as Pancake, and we need your help. If you consider that each time a proud foster mom or adopter shares a picture of their baby, there is a vet bill for that pup. We are still trying to pay off old bills from the last large puppy mill rescue, and here we are - saving more, taking more who need us, and finally, asking for help. Every penny helps, but to put need in context, an exam, vaccinations, fecal and heartworm test costs a minimum of $100. If there are eye meds, ear meds, or wormer, add another $25-50 for each. Spays and neuters start at $150 depending on area.. Our vet is very generous, and the heartworm treatments will probably cost about $300 each.
