People keep quiet for so many reasons: Fear of judgement. Fear of exposure. Fear of rejection. Embarrassment. Self-doubt. Lots of reasons. We can all find excuses. Im guilty myself. But this is not the time to remain silent, not when a microphone has been placed at your fingertips, right by your hands! All you have to do is raise it up to your lips and speak. The world is listening even if they dont show it and you dont believe it. SPEAK ANYWAY! You dont have to be a professional. Your words might come out all wrong. You might misspell a word, stutter, cry, scream or curse. Maybe youll ruffle feathers (my personal favorite). Maybe youll make people feel uncomfortable because you expose them to real life—real emotions. Speak anyway. Because you also might help save a life. You might inspire someone. You might spark a conversation. You might make a change. You might help someone else. But youll never know if youre sitting in silence, content with watching the show.
