Meet the runaway bride... Liz Devoti has just participated in the EMF 10K and now she’s off to get married! Liz from Peterborough said: “Ive always enjoyed running and like setting myself challenges so I decided to enter the 10km in Edinburgh as part of our wedding plans (actually my Fiancée suggested it!!). Having told our guests that we didnt want any wedding gifts, we thought that this would be a great way to raise some money for our chosen charity. Its also a slightly different way for the bride to get ready...but will hopefully make sure I still fit into the dress!! “Our chosen charity is Annas Hope - a local charity supporting children and their families suffering with brain tumours as well as raising funds for research. Anna sadly lost her fight and her parents set up the charity afterwards. As parents to a nearly 2 year old, children charities are close to our hearts.” Liz is getting married at 3pm at the Lothian Chambers Registry Office on Royal Mile, better get a move on!
