Memorandum of Cooperation between Ministry of Interior Affairs (MOI) and European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan (EUPOL) Today a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between MOI and EUPOL Mission in Afghanistan for providing assistance to the Ministry of Interior of Afghanistan in creating a Female Police College in Afghanistan. This college will be the foundation to ensure long term sustainability and increased capacity building in relation to the recruitment, retention and promotion of females with the Afghan National Police (ANP). This initiative will support and contribute in implementing the Afghan National Police Plan and the Afghan National Police – Ministry of Interior Ten Year Vision in relation to strengthening the development of females within the Afghan National Police. In support of this Afghan led concept and utilizing a comprehensive approach, EUPOL will advise and assist the Afghan National Police General Training Command to identify and select eligible female Afghan Police Officers through existing General Training Command recruitment procedures to be trained as female police teachers, support the design and delivery of curriculum for Female Teachers course and advise the delivery of the Female Teachers course by providing female EUPOL support. In addition EUPOL will provide training equipment for the Female Police Teachers Course.
