Men´s EuroFloorball Cup 2013 Team Presentations – 08.10.2013 The Men´s EuroFloorball Cup 2013 played in Trencin, Slovakia, 9th - 13th October 2013, is played with 6 teams divided into two groups. The EuroFloorball Cup is the championship tournament for the 5th and lower ranked European national club champions. The EFC 2013 winners in Men´s and Women´s categories will qualify directly to the Champions Cup 2014. When the EFC winners participate in the Champions Cup 2013 they will get 5 000 CHF prize money. Men´s EFC Group A SK 1. FBC Trencin (SVK) 1. FBC Trencin: The club wants make the best result in club´s history and to introduce ŠK 1.FBC Trenčín as a strong and progressive floorball club. The aim is to play in the final and fight for a Champions Cup 2014 spot. Players to watch: Marek Bulko: Played in the WFC 2012. Young champion of Slovakia in floorball. One of the most productive players in the Slovak league with a good shot. Jakub Klobučník: Young talented goalie. Junior and senior national team player. Very fast and hardworking keeper with a great pass Branislav Straka: Four times champion in Slovakia. National team player with a good shot and overview of the field. Strong in tackles and passing. # 5 M. Bulko # 28 J. Klobucnik # 11 B. Straka Slevik IBK (NOR) Slevik IBK: Lost the EFC final last year after a horrible 3rd period. Lost only 1 match during the series and play-offs in Norway last year and has brought in some excellent new players during the summer. The team has huge respect for the other teams, but the goal is clear: Champions Cup 2014! Players to watch: Thomas Stræte: Promoted player off the year 4 times in Norway (2008, 2011,2012,2013). This player wins matches by his own. Peter Fahlstrøm: Goalgetter, injured last year in the EFC, has been Slevik´s best player so far this season. Glen Evensen: A legend in Norwegian floorball. Has been in the national team for many years. He´s got speed, can score goals and hates to lose. # 24 T. Straete # 88 P. Fahlstrom # 41 G. Evensen Pomor (RUS) Pomor: The goal of this Russian team is to play in the EuroFloorball Cup 2013 semi-finals. Players to watch: Aleksandr Taldonov: Very skilful forward who has played in four World Floorball Championships. Sergey Azov: Defender with a good shot. Aleksandr Kharitonov: Fast forward with good thinking on the court. # 10 A. Taldonov # 11 S. Azov # 70 A. Kharitonov Men´s EFC Group B Lekrings (LAT) Lekrings: The team is very motivated and the goal is to win the EuroFloorball Cup 2013 and qualify for the Champions Cup 2014. Players to watch: Ingus Laivins: Experienced player who has played in all World Floorball Championships since 2002. Janis Rajeckis: Talented defender who has been a part of both the Men´s national team since 2010. Martins Rajeckis: A top national team forward, who is one of the best players in the team. # 11 I. Rajeckis FBC Grasshoppers AC Uniza Zilina (SVK) FBC Grasshoppers AC Uniza Zilina: A university club and most players are students or graduates of the University of Žilina. Participating in EuroFlorball Cup 2013 is the highest success achieved in the short history. The club wants to use this opportunity to compete with some other top level teams and also to gain incredibly valuable experience from being part of this multicultural floorball event. Advance to the semi-final would be considered as success. Players to watch: Matej Novák: Admirable ball control and technical skills Martin Grlický: Technically gifted young prodigy Rudolf Turiak: Considering his age (born 1996), he is physically and mentally a very smart and gifted goalie. # 13 M. Novak # 12 M. Grlicky # 48 R. Turiak Jõgeva SK Tähe (EST) Jõgeva SK Tähe: The aim is the first place in the EuroFloorball Cup 2013 and play in the Champions Cup 2014. Players to watch: Rein Kivi: A very experienced player. Played many years in the highest Finnish league and has lots of national team experience. Raul Kivi: Team captain and a very physical payer.
