Merry Christmas to everyone! Jesus was born to save us... not from a mean, vengeful God and his anger at our sin... but to save us from ourselves! From OUR human belief that God is separated from us, that God requires us to do things for him to love us or bless us. Our belief that if we fail to do the right things or say the right things or BELIEVE the right things, God shall cast us out. Jesus tells us Gods arms are always open... all will be reconciled to him... and that Gods love will always, always win. Jesuss radical message can get lost in the rush of the holidays, and in the constraints of our religious systems and narrow human beliefs. But do not lose this message: God Loves You. Not matter what you do. No matter what you believe. No matter who you are. You are Gods child, and are loved and wanted and accepted as you are.
