Mesquite, Texas Latino SPEEDING MOTORCYCLIST WAS CRITICALLY INJURED AFTER REAR-ENDING SUV IN MESQUITE......A motorcyclist was critically injured this morning when he rear-ended an SUV on I-30 early in Mesquite, police said. The man was speeding west on I-30 about 3 a.m. when his motorcycle struck the rear of a Chevy Equinox near LBJ Freeway. The driver said she saw a white light in her mirror, felt a thump and saw the motorcyclist thrown off his bike. The man and the motorcycle landed in the grass that separates I-30 and a ramp from LBJ. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A police spokesman could not say this morning where he was transported or whether he survived. The woman driving the SUV was not injured.
