Message from Jim Trent: Greetings, No doubt many of you have heard by now of the Steampunk Invasion (steampunkinvasion) event coming to Dallas the second weekend of September. It will be a great opportunity to not only have a great time enjoying Steampunk fellowship in a unique setting but also a great chance to expose Steampunk to hundreds (possibly thousands) of members of the general public. Wed love to have as many of our North Texas friends present as possible to enjoy this great event and if youve already bought tickets, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! For those wanting to join the fun but a little short of cash we still need volunteers to help staff the con. The volunteer staff is headed up by our own lovely Paige Hernandez. Just Drop her a PM here on face book or email steampunkinvasion.volunteers@gmail and well be happy to get you set up to work with this great event. Volunteers should all be free for the Saturday night concert featuring Montesquieu Jacques Fromage (his first Texas appearance!), The Cog is Dead (their first Dallas appearance!) and our own Marquis of Vaudeville!
