Microvision...I love the stuff that so many of you are posting....I would love to see how many people are doing their work that they post here with a dental operating scope. The reason I ask is that two people at a conference I just attended this week told me that they have stopped using their scopes , pushed them aside and started to go back to loupes. They said it was too slow and that they couldnt produce enough...what a shame I thought. This group is for dentists and technicians who are interested in microscopic approach to dentistry, it is intended to promote the microscope. I was saddened by what I heard at this course. There are four advantages to using the scope ( see photo below) and I hope that people will use a microscope to be the best dentist that they can be, take pride in your work folks...be an artisan, a craftsman and the money will follow...in todays age must everything be faster and more productive....can it not just be better? I admire so many of you for whom the microscope is just about being better, showing margins that are exquisite, finding more anatomy in endodontics, doing invisible composites, showing crowns and veneers that look like real teeth, doing soft tissue surgery which looks minimally invasive....to you all that are trying to be the best you can be..I tip my hat to you... If you use a scope for your work....tell us which one, as I would love to know how many who post here are using microscope...there are almost 4000 members but how many use a scope for their work...tell us! I use a Global G6 for all my work, 100%... i have 9 rooms and 9 scopes....everything I do and post is done through the microscope and documented through the scope...It doesnt make me a better dentist than my neighbour but it makes me a better dentist than I was before...continue to post your great work...be proud if you are using a microscope and tell us that you are, show us which one....here is mine, and a couple of photos of my work.
