Mid-Cheshire Foundation Trust (Leighton Hospital) CQC INSPECTION - TopicsExpress

Mid-Cheshire Foundation Trust (Leighton Hospital) CQC INSPECTION RESULT: GOOD Last Friday, in my role as Chair of the Cheshire East Health & Well-being Board, I attended the CQC Inspectors feedback session together with other relevant partners as well as the Trust Representatives. There are 4 possible results: Excellent (only 3 nationally), Good (17 nationally), Requires Improvement, or Inadequate. MCFT now becomes the 18th GOOD Trust which is a very pleasing result and highlights good levels of SAFETY, EFFECTIVENESS, CARE, & is WELL-LED. The Trust, especially the highly motivated staff are to be congratulated. However work is still needed in relation to RESPONSIVENESS. This is related to waiting times in A&E, Caesarian sections and timely movement of medical patients to the right wards. The Trust are already well ahead in designing systems to improve this Rating and will submit these to the CQC shortly for evaluation. The full Reports are available on the CQC Website: cqc.org.uk
