Minecraft being bought out by Microsoft doesnt make me sad in the slightest. Minecraft was a success of a sad old man, in his basement that had no money or prospects and decided to rip off an old game and make a profit. Notch was an in-experienced java programmer, one of the worst, writing some of the first alpha versions of Minecraft in single classes, and denying that things could be done in his engine. (That since were achieved by mere modders) Whilst Notch denied his games fans, the fans took it upon themselves to improve the game and make it better. (Since Notch refused) The modding community for Minecraft was huge, not becuase of Notch, but because of his own inability programming in Java. Notch is today a billionaire, not because of his own successes, but because of his fans ability, and his inability. Notch is a talentless loser, with no prospects, but a ton of money. -- And deep down, I think everyone knew that Notch would be a massive sellout in the end, and completely sell his broken incomplete mess of a game to an evil company like microshit to make some last profits before the game sinks into obscurity.
