Miss Twenty-Fifteen -------- -------- Yesterday Had a date With Miss twenty-fifteen Minutes before one-fourteen We talked, ate Rice, snacks, coffee, dates Watched her taking a mangosteen She looked clean, a queen in sateen She looked at me Peircing eyes that could see Both out and inside me Saw doubts, scars, fears Wrinkles, dreams, plans and ideas Innermost yearnings, desires Raging storms, wavy oceans inside A millions thoughts, things I deride Many questions, needed to ask her Some I knew had no answer How long Will I pretend Waiting, uncertainties on end On many things I need to decide Praying, hoping luck stays my side Should I dive into deep water Will I become new or an undercover Smiles met me, a morning sunshine Heard rhythms, chimming, sweet Drowning the cries in my chest Felt a calmness so divine Knew I then, my mistakes, my sins My shamefull history, ugly stories Are gone, nows a new dawn A new wind is blown She promised to be kind Provided I worked hard My attitudes, my styles Methods, designs Diets, Cuisine Timetables, routines Many other things had to change Because, am living in a new age Writing, reading a new page Miss Twenty-fifteens page.
