RETURNING ANEW TO ZION God returned anew my Heaven mate to my side I knew not when I met her that it was even so For the journey had started, I needed not decide God blessed me with nine more children to tow The land before us was littered with rocks and briars Our spirits joined in Holy wedlock and courage to dare On the road were many roadblocks and many liars But because of Jesus we always continued to care God became a contest ground for people of strong will All we wanted was to know how to Love Him more Jesus heard our confusion, bade us to be fervently still He instilled in our hearts that were headed for shore Two young men brought the truth to our longing ears Then all of our prayers were welded into our dreams We lost therein many friends that had lasted years Conditional people with personal motives it seems The God of our beings extended to us His strong arm And like the Prophet Joseph we could never truth deny We loaded the truck and moved from the trailer farm With Joseph and Emma’s song fresh, in mind and eye Millions before blazed the trail through Satan’s sludge The mountains held back their oh so dangerous snow The journey rocky but we were not easy to budge Fellow travelers commented that we seemed to glow By God’s grace we have arrived in the Promised Land We shall have no fear, for we were led by Judah’s lion And we are now blessed because we fully understand His plan had always been to deliver us again to Zion
