Mom or Dad? Growing up I guess you could say I was a daddys boy. My Dad and I were very close. As I grow older people more and more people say I look and think and talk like him. When he died at age 63 after having been diagnosed with Cancer for 12 days I was so hurt. No depression or anything like that just really sad. As all of you know Mom died May 17th (her and Dad about 12 years apart) after almost a year with Cancer. Mom and I were never as close as Dad and I were. And dont be silly and think I am saying something I am not, she was a terrific Mother in every way, we just were different. I was born on her birthday and this Oct 29th will be the first Bday I wont be able to share with her. Yes Dad and I were close, but I miss Mom so much. Its like when Dad died that was to be expected, but when Mom died everything in my life has changed, and I mean seemingly everything. Maybe its because she and I got so close during her illness I dont know but I sure do miss her. Yes I miss them both, but Mom passing has changed everything far more than when Dad died. Perhaps it is simply the order in which they died possibly if it was reversed I would be saying the opposite. All I know is I sure miss my Mom,, If she were alive today I would love to take her cruising, man that would be fun!
