Mom reporting! Lori and Tony spent a few days in Houston and got back this evening. She had a pet scan and it wasnt clear as we hoped it would be. Still some spots showing in a few lymph nodes that the docetaxel hasnt taken care of...unless it kept them from getting bigger! Going to change to Tarceva, a chemo pill, to give her body a break. She doesnt have the mutation that it works best on, but were going to pray that it will work wonders anyway! Still hoping to get in an immunotherapy trial, but there are few places that open up and so many fighting this terrible disease. She also saw a pulmonologist for some fluid on her lungs and he decided she may have developed asthma. So shes also started on asthma medication. Oh..also had another brain MRI...all still clear there. Shes had a lot of fatigue, joint aches, and headaches on the docetaxel, so hopefully this change will help her feel better! I think thats about everything. I talked to her on the way home and she was tired but ready to get started with the new treatment and get this taken care of once and for all! Thank you all for your continued prayers for Lori, Tony and all the family and for all of our friends/family who are fighting this also.
