Moncton area fiddlers(other instruments welcome) - Today is the day for the Fiddle Flash Mob. Come and be a part of it! Where: Moncton City Hospital. When: Tuesday, August 19, 2014 Time: 6:30pm (be at Nurses Auxiliary room by 6pm if you wish to participate) Dress: Street clothes Jack Bulmer, the fiddler, has been in hospital for quite some time now with serious illness. He has several new compositions and had been working on a CD and Book/cd project of his tunes when he took ill. With the assistance of many friends, Jack’s dream is coming true and you are invited to be part of a special CD and Book launch, Here’s where you come in - We are arranging a “flash mob” at the hospital lobby to surprise Jack. Ivan will start out in the centre of the lobby then others will come out from other corners of the lobby and join him at the centre. TUNES Ivan will start with St. Anne’s Reel. Fiddlers will join in with him playing St. Anne’s as you walk into the centre of the large lobby from various corners of the lobby. St Anne’s Reel Red Wing Ontario Swing As you join up with Ivan it would be best to face the second floor balcony as that is where Jack will be. Let’s wave our bows at him after the last tune! The Moncton City Hospital has given us the OK. The Nurse’s Auxiliary room will store fiddle cases. Enter by the MacBeath St. main entrance of the Moncton City Hospital. Walk through the main lobby. Then take the first corridor on the left past Admitting - opposite the long hallway to the new ambulatory addition. PLEASE BE AT THIS ROOM BY 6PM. The media is expected to attend this event. If you’ve never heard of a ‘flash mob’ before, see the video below as an example. The idea of a ‘flash mob’ is to have a musical event pop up in an unexpected place. The more fiddlers, the better the result. https://youtube/watch?v=TJdThl3fKhw
