Monday, July 21, 2014 35-year-old man killed while testing gun charm in Owukpa By simon Idoko, Owukpa A young man simply identified as Ogbada Ogbodo has been killed while testing his gun charm in Atamaka Ugbugbu Owukpa. According to a source, some young men in the community went and brought in a juju man to fortify them against gun bullets so they could confront the Fulani Herdsmen currently terrorising their land. It was gathered after the fortification, the juju man while testing his charm shot at one of the youths and it was successful. However, when it was Ogbadas turn, the reverse was the case. Ogbada also came out and claimed he had anti-bullets charm and when they shot at him, his charm failed him, a resident who gave his name as Akor said. He was rushed to the hospital but the doctor confirmed him dead on arrival. Several calls to the police post in Ukwo Owukpa were fruitless as the officer in charge of the station could not be reached at the moment. His corpse has been deposited at the mortuary in Okpoga. IV reports that Owukpa community and Fulani Herdsmen have been at war over the latters refusal to leave their land.
