More from Dr. Jordan while attending CE at NAVC: I was able to attend equine lectures today, learning about musculoskeletal problems and how acupuncture can be a great help in diagnosing and treating lameness in horses. It is one more tool we can use to help your horse. Also, I learned about a just released drug for itching (pictured). It is made by Zoetis (formally Pfizer) and is a safe alternative to steroids for dogs with allergies. This is a huge breakthrough, as steroids have side effects we want to avoid. The other photo is of alligators who live in the atrium of the conference hotel - there are even CE classes on alligators at this conference! I dont think Ill need to go to those though as not many pet gators have been coming to our clinic :)
