David serves as the CEO of Hobby Lobby, and his three children serve as the president, vice president, and vice CEO. My question: why are these four people allowed to have their religious rights take precedent over the rights of the nearly 13,500 employees they hired? Its not actually that I disagree with their right to live their lives as they see fit and appropriate for their beliefs. Its that I dont understand why their beliefs are being allowed impede other citizens pursuit of their own rights. And why is there no allowance for the use of contraceptive devices and products for medical conditions, such as endometriosis? Now women who had this prescribed to relieve such conditions will find that their treatment is no longer covered if they work for these companies.
