More than 17,000 people have signed up to join an Austrian law students class action against Facebook over the social media groups alleged violations of its users privacy. Max Schrems is claiming damages of €500 euros (£397) per user for alleged data violations, including helping the US National Security Agency to run its Prism programme, which mined the personal data of Facebook users, among others.
