Morning Curlies! O.k. so on this natural hair journey time and time again we encounter information about oils. How it is best to use natural oils to seal in the moisture. The ongoing discussion about oil being moisturizing. So on and so forth. Well to be completely honest, my hair and oils have a love hate relationship lol. My hair does NOT absorb oils or anything oily, I have tried and it just sits there and makes my hair strands unbearable to touch. In my 3 year journey I have learned that a little goes a long way when it comes to my hair and that I must mix/dilute oils before applying it to my hair strands. I have also learned that I can do a pre-poo with oil and do a dry detangling session and that works out wonderfully. Lastly, I often add a few drops of oil to my DC to just give my hair a boost of shine and that seems to be o.k. Now, some of us might not understand what oils are best for what purpose and so much information is out there that I myself get confused and just decide to leave that oil business alone. I came across this great article that talks about some oils that I honestly never experimented with and I want to share it with you curlies. Take the time to read it thoroughly and maybe even bookmark it so that you can use it as a reference as move along on your journey. Maybe I myself will give this "natural oils" thing another try and see how it works...wink wink....blackgirllonghair/2011/11/8-herbs-oils-that-promote-hair-growth/
