Morning Musings: Why sin again? “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6:1-2 Sin was your former state but in Christ righteousness is your new state. God always plants more of His grace where sin grows in order to achieve His purpose of salvation. This does not mean His grace must be taken lightly. In Christ you have died to sin so apostle Paul says “how shall we…live any longer therein”. You are now alive unto God and must see and think of yourself in this new light. When sin knocks on your door inviting you to feast at its table, say to it “I am a new man by His grace, I have the best meal at the table of righteousness”. You are no longer a sinner but a saint. You are no longer a slave of sin to do its bidding rather you belong to righteousness. The grace of God which brought you to salvation empowers you to live righteously above sin. Yield yourself daily to this grace by meditating in and living the Word of God. Remember you don’t belong to sin anymore, you belong to righteousness. Shalom and Good Morning.
