Morning Reminder. Friday. 6th day of Safar. Lets check the summary of Suuratul Kahf Quran chapter 18. The Prophet(PBUH) has said, Whoever recited this Suurat the manner in which it was revealed(meaning applied its lessons in our life), it will serve for him as a light on the day of judgement and whoever memorise the first 10 verses(implementation of its meanings) will be protected from dajjal(the anti-Christ). References: Ibn Hajar said in Takhreej al-Adhkaar that this is a hasan hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Soorat al-Kahf. This Suurat has 4 stories, 1. The People of the Cave which talk about trial of Religion. 2. The Owner of the two gardens, which talk about trial of wealth and children 3. Muusah & Khidir, which is about trial of knowledge. And 4. Dhul Qarnayn, which talk about trial of authority. The first two deals with good companionship and knowing the reality of life which is calling to Allah. The 3rd and 4th point deals with humility and sincerity in remembering the hereafter. All these are the boats of success. The story of the believing young men who were living in a disbelieving country. They decided to leave their homes and run away with their religion after a confrontation between them and their people. Allah rewarded them with the mercy of the cave and care of the sun for so many years. They wakeup to find their village were all believers. Also The story of the man who Allah had blessed, but he forgot the one who had blessed him, transgressed and had doubts in his faith. He didnt give thanks for the blessings, even though his friend reminded him. Destruction of the crops and harvest and regrets after it was too late. In approximately the middle of the Suurat comes the story of iblees, the one who pulls the strings of fitnah(satanic influences). Thats around Aayah 50. When Muusah(A.S) was asked by Allah, who is the most knowledgeable person on the earth? He said me I can understand his point been the prophet and messenger of Allah at that time but then Allah revealed to him that there was someone more knowledgeable than him, Muusah travelled to meet Him in order to learn from him how sometimes we do not understand Allahs Wisdom but He is invariably Wise. I think we all know what happened in his journey with the knowledgeable person (ie the ship, the boy and the wall). Also The story of the great king that joined both knowledge and strength and travelled to all parts of the earth, helping people and spreading goodness. He overcame the problem of gog and Magog by building a dam and was able to put to work the strength of a people who could hardly understand a word. So now the question is, what is the relationship of Suurat Al-Kahf to the dajjaal? From the above summary we will noticed that dajjaal will put us into the trial of our religion, trial of wealth, trial of knowledge and trial of authority before the day of judgement. > He will ask people to worship him instead of Allah. > He will order the sky to rain and he will tempt people with his wealth. > he will try people with knowledge due to what he reveals to people of news > he will control major parts of the earth except Macca and Madinah In shaa Allah. So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord. (Suurat Al-Kahf, Aayah 110). May Allah save us from the trials which are obvious and hidden. Amin. Finally.... I hope we understand the secret of reading this Suurat every Friday. We can realise its importance in helping us understand the trials of this life and the way to be saved from them. There is no room for negligence in reciting it every Friday and of course following its teachings afterwards. Please remember me in your dua. May Allah keep guiding our eemaan and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.
