Morning Reminder. Saturday. 4th/5th of Zul-Qaadah. Lets Unite as Muslims for the sake of Allah.Naming ourselves with titles can only divide us instead of uniting us. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As the saying goes, Unity is Strength but unfortunately we have reduced Islam to rituals, tribalism, nationalism and forgotten other important pillars. While it is crucial to practice the five pillars of Islam, for instance, we cannot ignore other basic aspects of the faith that emphasize brotherhood and sisterhood. Muslim unity is a Fard (obligatory duty) according to the Quran and Traditions of the Prophet Mohamed (peace and blessings be upon him). Lets Consider the following From the Quran (49:10): The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy. Also from the Quran (3:103): And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you, Quran), and be not divided among yourselves. The Messenger of Allah also mentioned that In their love, kindness and compassion for each other, the believers are like a human body: when one part of it is hurt, the rests sympathizes with it in wakefulness and fever (Bukhari, Muslim). Allah made hajj as a means of unifying us as One Ummah regardless of our status in life. Lets try to start acting in trying to unite our families together first then our community etc. Lets try to arrange a weekly family meeting or weekly Muslim Students Association Meeting then after advising each other and forgiving each other we can invite learned brothers and sisters to remind us about our responsibilities to Allah and ourselves as Muslims. Lets start doing this for Allah sake. Allah keep guiding us and protect us from any satanic influences. Aamin.
