Morning and afternoon spent in search of the grave erected in tribute to the man who, through his book Stay human sent me the great love for Gaza and its people, the only italian hero which I recognize, Vittorio Arrigoni. We met a farmer in Farheen area eastern Khan Younis Jaber Abu Rjela, a great friend of Vittorio, who told us that Vik used to help him on his farm and spent much time with his family many Friday he had lunch with them, it was for him like a son. He could only describe Vittorio as a wonderful person , never anyone like him, he said, and I agree, Vittorio was and remains unique, for his humanity, for his courage, for his great, unique example. He told us that he cannot do anything else to pay homage and remember, so he erected this grave on his farm, in the place where Vittorio used to sit or lie down to rest. Despite Vittorio is not buried here the excitement in seeing this simple monument and in hear the story of Jaber is indescribable. Also this area, like many others, was invaded by Israeli tanks during the last aggression and Jaber has sadly recounted how one Israeli soldier has targeted and shot the portrait of Victor on the grave, yet another demonstration of cowardice and wickedness of the most moral army in the world. But this cowardly act does not affect us, Vittorio is always alive in the hearts of those who love Gaza and Palestine, a memorable example of humanity, and Im proud to be Italian like him. In the photos the grave, detail of shots fired on the photo, and the bullets that Jaber gave me, asking me to show them on my page, because everyone has to know the extent to which comes the evil of Israelis monsters, if ever it were needed .. . The other photo, which many of you have seen it many times, depicts Vittorio with a little girl, she is a daughter of Jaber.
